It was a pretty big party and I was so happy that everyone wanted to come and share in our joy! We received many wonderful presents for Ava. Bella was really cute holding each item up and telling everyone what it was. She was our own Vanna White. However, if something said Little Princess or Mommy's cupcake, she let everyone know that she is the first princess and also Mommy's cupcake. It was very funny. Mike had a great time as well.
I did tear up several times. I made a speak and thanked Buffy for doing this for us, thanked our mom's for throwing the party and thanked Luke for being there for me. I almost didn't make it through those.
I was happy to talk alot about surrogacy. We did a game where everyone could ask questions and it was nice to help people learn about surrogacy. There were a couple times when I talked about my hysterectomy and it's a little hard still to think that it really happened. One of the games we used the number 34, because it was the number of months between when the doctor told me I would never had another baby and when I was expecting another baby. :)

All in all it was a great day. I can't believe we are almost in our third trimester. it's all going to quickly. I can't wait to be holding Ava in my arms. She is almost here.
