Bella's birthday

On Tuesday was Bella's 3rd birthday. I can't believe she is already 3. Time is going by so quickly.

I remember looking so forward to having my c-section to have her as everyone told me the second time around was easier. I was prepped and went into surgery and everything was fine. They took her out and she was perfect. But it was shortly after that I knew there was a problem. My OB had taken my uterus out and was massaging it to make it start shrinking. it wouldn't. As some one who always pukes during surgery, you can imagine how icky I felt. Someone was trying to put an oxygen mask on me and i could bat them away because during a c-section your arms are strapped down. I keep saying NO because I knew I would puke. Luckily the puke came fast and the person realize, no oxygen for me! I would say it took my OB about an hour to get the bleeding under control. When i was finally taken back to my room a long time had past and I was very tired. i was talking but falling asleep after every couple of words. I also had several blood transfusions. They had a nurse stay with me most of the day to make sure I was ok.

i was so in love with my new baby though and angry that i felt so crappy physically after her birth. She is such our little princess. She makes our world better just by being in it. I am so grateful for Dr. Goldfarb for assisting us in having her.

i will continue the rest of how my ordeal panned out in the next couple of posts. The next few days leading to my actual hysterectomy are a little hard for me. I am glad that Bella's birthday and my hysterectomy anniversary are different days. I would be hard to have them be together. Her day is full of joy and happiness and my day well is one I can cry and let my feelings out.
