I have received this statement with good intentions and with out! LOL. I have pondered it though. Do I get everything I want? No.........did I want a hysterectomy? no, did I want to be unwell the first couple weeks of my daughter's life? no. But there are certain things that happen when you are near death.
I remember laying in the hospital before my hysterectomy while I was hemmoraging and thinking I would die. In between going in and out of conscienceness, I started thinking of all the things I hadn't done in life yet. How I wasn't ready to die, there was too much left to do. It was in those moments I realized that when I survived, I wouldn't take life for granted. I would do the things that really mattered to me. I would make my want/needs a priority. I wouldn't just let life pass me by. I would make plans and live a very fulfilling life.
and........I am doing it. I think it's something not a lot of people understand especially those who haven't had a near death experience or something like it. I am a lot more driven and focused to accomplish my goals. I also enjoy every minute of everyday. Even when my kids are driving me crazy, I step back and know how wonderful it is.
That day August 29th, was a regular day. I was taking my kids to the doctor and I felt fine, with in twenty four hours, I was in ICU and had my reproductive ability taken from me and nearly died. Twenty four hours and my whole life changed. It can happen that fast.
So I am going to do the things I want and find joy in everyday. My children are my world and I knew I would always regret not having another one. So I am! I am living a life with no regrets. I cherish each moment I have knowing that things could be so very different.
So yeah, I do get everything I want, I work for them, I fight for them and I am just so grateful to be alive that I am not wasting it. I urge everyone to fight for what you want, to make your life what you want,...to get everything you want.

I am so happy for you! All the hard work you have put in will result in your dream come true in just a few more weeks. If there is anyone deserving, it is your family :)
Savanna will have a little sister in June - I think it's awesome that she will have a sister. I can't believe how fast my own pregnancy has gone... between my sister and I, there will be 4 little princesses once this one is born!
